Lisa’s passion in teaching Prenatal & Postnatal Yoga! The last eight years have been solely dedicated to teaching these types of classes. She has received Prenatal & Postnatal certifications from Janice Clarfield and Leslie Lytle, and continued studies with Sarah Powers. Her teachers continue to be students, the birthing community, mothers and her daughter.The classes include pranayama, semi-flow/flow movement, partner work, meditation and relaxation with attention to each trimester and students needs. Class typically begins with mindful meditation through breath awareness with attention to mother and child connection. The tools she offers to women, are empowerment through all stages of pregnancy, childbirth and the 4th trimester (postpartum). The classes are joyful, resourceful, and community building.Each student has a voice, both inner and outer. Throughout each class and the practice of yoga, Lisa’s encourages each student to find her inner wisdom, strength and beauty through the journey of motherhood.A practicing yogini since 1997, and studying yoga since 2002 , Lisa is a 200-hour ERYT & PRYT. She received her 200 hour Hatha Vinyasa certification through Centered Yoga in Thailand with inclusive studies in Pranayama with Sri O.P. Tiwari of Kaivalyadhan Institute, India.While living in Montreal, Lisa explored various styles of yoga and became inspired by the Buddhist philosophy of Metta, Loving Kindness. It is through the practice of Metta that Lisa encourages her students to find compassion and light through breath awareness.
