Marty is a Yoga Alliance 200 Hour RYT, as well as a Certified Personal Trainer with the National Academy of Sports Medicine. She has been involved in the Ann Arbor fitness community for over 30 years, is a passionate runner and considers both yoga and running forms of moving meditation. Professionally trained in graphic design, photography, fine art and music, these disciplines inform her yoga teaching. She creates specific music mixes to help empower her students and their yoga practice.Marty feels that yoga can balance, focus and strengthen you. Many of us have become disconnected with our bodies, and yoga helps re-establish that connection between body and mind. It is work-out...but more importantly a work-in. Just as yoga engages the body, it also helps evolve the mind. It helps develop a sort of “mind/body intuition”. Marty believes that our bodies has an inherent intelligence to bring about a perfect state of equilibrium. This awareness translates both on AND off the mat. Marty considers it an honor to help facilitate this 3000 year old practice.
